The piece is a short and interesting read. I will try to sum it up to the extent I could understand.

This contribution brings forth a different perspective on Google through the lens of colonialism where the 'Google Cultural Institute' is exemplified to make sense of the terminology - 'techno-colonialism.' I find that this perspective highlights some things we take for granted about tech giants like Google, in that we partake in an information economy without realising the larger narrative. The piece opens up foundational questions about who we are, what we know and what we'd like to know using executable information systems. Geraldine mentions that the Google Cultural Institute resides in a database without a clear stand on its content, so it might be worth discussing how we might attempt to bridge that gap through the technocolonialism critique.
